4-Sided Parallel Cut Sail Shades

Four Sided Image

Please Note:

Panels (and seams) will be parallel to side B.

A. Diagonal (?)
The diagonal measurement is from mounting position to mounting position from corner BE to corner CD. If a single turnbuckle is used at corner BE or CD, subtract 12 to 18 inches from that measurement. If both BE and CD use a turnbuckle at both corners subtract 24 to 36 inches from that measurement. Then enter the results in this field entry.
inches
B. Side 1. (?)
Measure from mounting position to mounting position from corner BE to corner BC. All seams will be parallel to this side of the sail shade. If a single turnbuckle is used at corner BE or BC, subtract 12 to 18 inches from that measurement. If both BE and BC use a turnbuckle at both corners subtract 24 to 36 inches from that measurement. Then enter the results in this field entry.

C. Side 2 (?)
This side will be adjacent to E side. Measure from mounting position to mounting position from corner CB to corner CD. If a single turnbuckle is used at corner CB or CD, subtract 12 to 18 inches from that measurement. If both CB and CD use a turnbuckle at both corners subtract 24 to 36 inches from that measurement. Then enter the results in this field entry.

D. Side 3 (?)
This side will be adjacent to B side. Measure from mounting position to mounting position from corner DC to corner DE. If a single turnbuckle is used at corner DC or DE, subtract 12 to 18 inches from that measurement. If both DC and DE use a turnbuckle at both corners subtract 24 to 36 inches from that measurement. Then enter the results in this field entry.
inches
E. Side 4 (?)
This side will be adjacent to C side. Measure from mounting position to mounting position from corner EB to corner ED. If a single turnbuckle is used at corner EB or ED, subtract 12 to 18 inches from that measurement. If both EB and ED use a turnbuckle at both corners subtract 24 to 36 inches from that measurement. Then enter the results in this field entry.
inches
Hem (?)
Finished width of the hem. Usually 2 inches for a sail shade with a webbing on the edge (less than 299 inches on any side). For a sail shade that is 300 inches or more on any side it will be a wire rope in a sleeve edge. In that scenario the hem allowance should be 3 inches.
inches
Fabric Width (?)
Actual width of fabric (often 54, 60, 69, 118 or 150 inches)
